Mitote specializes in supporting womyn-led and social justice groups to strengthen their organizational infrastructure.
Mitote Consulting seeks to increase the capacity, effectiveness and sustainability of small non-profit organizations by identifying best practices and tools for nonprofit management including finance, operations and human resources.
Mitote supports all visionary leaders, especially womyn of color, whose organizations focus on uplifting working class communities. Mitote offers a broad range of services that include educational trainings and coaching on nonprofit compliance requirements and employer regulations; and development and implementation of policies, procedures, and tools.
Nancy Sanchez, owner of Mitote, has fifteen years of experience working with reproductive justice and social justice organizations to establish financial, operational, and human resources systems. She approaches her work with a gender and racial lens, and is driven by social justice values, like those of the organizations that she has served. As a result, Nancy has helped shape internal systems that are authentic, autonomous, transparent and equitable, among other things.
She has supported both start-up and long-standing organizations in developing and successfully implementing new policies, procedures, practices and tools that match their capacity, scope, and budget.
Her experience in working with womyn-identified leaders and womyn-led organizations in particular, has inspired her to be bold, creative and resourceful in order to address the most pressing challenges that come with running an organization.
